A Tiny Forest has been planted at The Headlands Recreation ground in Market Harborough. Volunteers from Arden Neighbourhood Forum and local residents assisted Earthwatch with the planting of 600 trees in an area the size of a tennis court. Tiny Forests are fast growing areas of woodland that help to connect people with nature, mitigate the impacts of climate change, and improve biodiversity.

The project was initiated by Arden Neighbourhood Forum, with support from Harborough District Council. We hope this will be the first of many improvements to our local area and will encourage everyone to visit and use our valued open spaces.

A really special thank you to everyone who came and helped us plant the 600 trees. It was great to see what can be achieved with local community involvement. Many thanks also to The Village Kitchen Community Cafe for providing lovely treats on the day.
