Eight new cherry trees in the public car park near the football club are looking worse for wear due to a lack of watering. In an effort to help, a member of Welland Forum gave each tree a much-needed drink today using the irrigation pipes. But with trees costing over £250 plus, shouldn’t they be properly maintained?
Meanwhile, two of the beds are overgrown with tall wild oats—easily pulled up, but the question remains: is this a job for the community or should Harborough District Council (HDC) be stepping in?
Fancy lending a hand, or should we be asking HDC to take action? Let us know what you think!
